Not sure if people are aware of this so I thought I would share. If you have an Android smartphone (any generation) you can download free aps for your phone. I use Kindle, B&N, and Overdrive all on my phone. I also like the size better than an (traditional) e-reader as it fits in the palm of my hand.

My daughter has an android phone and enjoys reading on it once in a while.

I got the AT&T version of the android.  At first I had downloaded the Nook reading app because I already have a Kindle.  However, I could never manage to locate the free nook books so I dumped that app and installed Kindle.  I love that I can put my granddaughter to bed and sit and read while she settles down for the night.

I forgot my Nook when I went to the Y one night about a month ago (the horror!!) and was so bummed. So I searched the Android Marketplace on my phone, downloaded the B&N app, and resumed my book on my phone. Ha! Pretty sweet. I did like it, but it's hard on my eyes to read on such a small screen. But it worked great in a pinch!

I have a Droid too and I downloaded Outlander to the Kindle app for free when they were giving it away a few months ago (to celebrate the 20th anniverary of its publication).  If was great to have my favorite book right there on my phone whenever I had down time.  Only drawback is how fast one has to "turn" (actually swipe) the page on the small screen.
