A light hearted story about an angel (Valerie Grace) who becomes a fallen angel seemingly out of the blue (first a note is shoved at her about the rules to abide by if you are a fallen angel, then she finds herself naked and in a killer whale tank). She is determined to find out why she was kicked out of heaven and to get back, but problems abound. First of all, she is assigned a Temptor Demon, Nathanial, whose job it is to tempt her to Hell, and she has trouble saying no. Then her friend gets turned into a rat by his witch girlfriend. Then she finds out that another demon, Julian, has the Key to Heaven and if he uses the key it could mean the end of the world, and she's the only one to stop him. Overall a cute, amusing story, though I found Val to be a little too cute or saccarine, even with her snarky remarks to Nathaniel and the faults other characters thought she had.

Not sure what I am missing here... only made it thru the first 7 chapters. Haven't liked it yet. Finally gave up on it.

This book is by Michelle rowen, author of Britten and Smitten, and Fanged and Fabulous. I really liked the vampire books, so I wanted to read this story, a paranormal romance about a Fallen Angel named Valerie, who has to live out life as a human, unless she can get back in Heaven's good graces. She is determined to get back "home" but it's not an easy ride, especially with a sexy Tempter Demon named Nathaniel trying to take her to Hell! Very funny, cute story.

Angel with Attitude was a fun summer read that keeps your attention. It's fun to try to guess the twists and there are many surprises. The characters are snappy without being jarring. The "attitude" is kept at a fun level without falling into obnoxious and sometimes happens when an author strives for snarky. Plus as a special treat this book offers a talking rat that will appeal to fans of Joss Whedon's writing style (think a cross between Xander and Wash).

This book is better then I thought it would be be. It's one of those books that suck you in right from the beginning, and never lets you go. Its got just the right mix of adventure and romance, and never over does either.

Easy delightful concept, that does seem to work well.
If you want a simple, laid back, sometimes funny read, this book is good. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it, I would still recommend it. Don't take it seriously, tho. Just enjoy the fun of it.
