Jude Deveraux is one of my favorite authors. I love the way she mixes her stories with history and the present. She keeps me going with each story she tells and I like how the books all have a common link.

Another book I judged by the cover. Looks a bit corny, but I LOVE Jude Deveraux. This was such a quick easy read. Just a fun book.

Great book. I found it a good read to relax. Michael is an angel like none ever seen before and just what is needed to restore faith. Interesting way Michael and Emily meet. Interesting how Michael worms his way into Emily's life without her even realizing it. I recommend it for a relaxing but great read.

Emily Jane Todd has just found her guardian angel. Actually, the small-town librarian had just been stood up by her fiancé when she ran into the errant angel with her car. And while he appears to be unscathed, \"Michael\" continues to insist that his pedigree is quite legitimate. Emily just hopes his brain hasn\'t been scrambled in the accident; besides, she\'s not inclined to believe that an angel could be so dangerously sexy.
Yet Michael quickly reveals the most astounding things about her, and makes her laugh in a way she never has before. What\'s more, he declares that he\'s been sent to save her. At this point, the only rescue Emily has in mind is her upcoming marriage, and she\'s ready to bid her most attractive angel good-bye. But when he lets slip that he also looks at souls -- and hers is a rare beauty -- Emily\'s ready to risk heaven in his arms. Their journey will break every angelic and earthly rule before it yields her one wish: a love divine.

I usually like easy reads but this book frustrated me. The plot was improbable and disconnected. I actually wondered why anyone would even publish it. It has possibility, but the author disappointed. I tossed it; did not want to impose the frustration on any other reader.

Reviewer: Kristine Beeson (Vancouver, WA United States) -

I normally enjoy Jude Deveraux's historical books more than the present day ones. But this is an exception. Emily's a great librarian, obviously very passionate about what she loves doing. Michael the angel is a delight, and even learning that he has sabotaged her previous life's romances isn't enough to deter me from liking him. Also, this author amuses me with multiple epilogues sometimes. This was one of those. :) Emily reminds me of Kady from Legend, anyhow. Both sweethearts who kinda let themselves be doormats. The evil storyline was a bit different, but all in all, its a good book to loose yourself in
