The heroine, Angelina, is young and thinks that money will solve all of her problems and make her happy. She meets a man, Rake, who has seen much of the world and tries to tell her otherwise but realizes she will need to discover this on her own. The story begins in the west and proceeds to New York and London on the run from Angelina's evil mother and her brothers. There are several intense sex scenes but I thought they were a bit more tame than some of Devine's other books. However, I thought the plot in this book was better than some of her other books. Overall, I thought Angel Eyes was a good book and worth the time to read and if you have enjoyed Thea Devine's books in the past it won't disappoint you. from Amazon.com

Rake Cardigan kenw the blond beauty was trouble the instant he saw her barrelling hell for leather down the remote backwoods trail. But she was an angel, with a wanton innocence that begged for a man's touch, and a vulnerability that made the cynical half breed ache to hold her close. Then she told him she meant to head east and marry a wealthy man, and Rake knew he'd been right the first time. She was trouble, but he could handle her. he would teach her a lesson about loving and leaving she'd never forget. He'd scorch her silken skin with wearing caresses, brand her rosy lips with fiery kisses until nothing but primitive passion shone in her treacherous angel eyes.

Not quite as good as most of hers, but plenty of hot sex.
