This is one of my favorite books! (it will never leave my shelf!) The heroine is so funny and she comes from a quirky family who has indulged her own eccentricities, which drives our hero nuts. The hero is a hardened hired gun (and sometimes reluctant gunfighter), but has a surprising sense of duty and loyalty. He also has a few moments of soft-heartedness that is very endearing, some of it relating to events from his childhood.

a very good read if you like romance with a little comedic relief thrown in. A very endearing ending as well.

Number three in Johanna Lindsey's Western series. The book was a good read, set in exciting 1881 Texas.

I am not a fan of Johanna Lindsey in general, but if you like her other books you will love this one.

Enjoyable story...as the last of the trilogy tied the other two into the ending rather too neatly

From the back cover…

Hoping to cool off a twenty-five-year-old feud between two neighboring families, Cassie Stuart only succeeds in pouring kerosene on the flames. He is called Angel-a ruggedly handsome hired gun with eyes as black as sin. Unwanted and unwelcome by his ungrateful employer, he would just as soon leave Cassie to fend for herself.
