Alison reviewed Angels of the Big Sky (Cloud Chasers, Bk 1) (Harlequin Superromance, No 1368) on
From back cover:
Former Navy pilot Marlee Stein has only a few simple goals when she and her young daughter, Jo Beth, move home to Whitepine, Montana.Help her brother run Cloud Chasers, their family's charter air service, fly mercy missions for Angel Flee, and be a good mother to Jo Beth, who's still dealing with the loss of her father.
Meeting a man like park ranger Wylie Ames is not one of those goals. The feeling's mutual; he's not exactly thrilled with Marlee, either, even though his son, Dean, is beginning to love Jo Beth and her mother. Gradually a friendship forms between Wylie and Marlee...and then more. Surprisingly, wonderfully, more.
Marlee becomes his friend and lover, but when the unexpected happens, she has to be his angel, too.
I really loved this touching story, and am looking forward to reading the next book ON ANGEL WINGS about Marlee's brother Mick.
Former Navy pilot marlee stein moved her and young daughter back home to Whitepine,Montana to help her brother run Cloud Dusters . It was their familys charter business , fly mercy missions of Angel Fleet. A park ranger Wylie Ames isn't exactly thrilled with Marlee but his young son likes Marlee's daughter. A friendship forms between the two single parents.
When Marlee Stein goes home to Montana with her young daughter after losing her husband to cancer, she meets ranger Wylie Ames and the two fall in love. But her pain over her husband's death comes rushing back when Wylie's young son is diagnosed with cancer. Angels of the Big Sky (4), by Roz Denny Fox, features strong characters involved in lifelike situations. Her depiction of Marlee's uncertainty and her dilemma over being around another possibly fatally ill cancer patient are realistic.
