Hi I have some Anne of Green Gables books:

1.  Anne of Green Gables

2. Anne of Avonlea

3. Anne Of the Island

4. Anne of Windy Poplars

5. Anne's House of Dreams

6. Anne of Ingleside

So here is my question....is this the complete series????  (or are there more?)  I've tried to find the answer on the internet but I don't feel I get a straight answer.  I would like to take the time this summer & try to read the series but I want to have them all before I start.   I think I only read #1 when I was a little girl.  If ANYONE can help me I would appreciate it!!!!

Thanks!  Shayla

Hi Shayla,

Numbers 1-6 are in correct order.  There are also numbers 7 called Rainbow Valley and number 8 called Rilla of Ingleside.  I read all of them in my teens.  Also, L.M. Montgomery wrote another series a lot of folks don't know about that I loved probably even more.  They are Emily of New Moon, Emily Climbs, and Emily's Quest.   She also wrote some very good stand alone stories such as Jane of Lantern Hill, Kilmeny of the Orchard, The Blue Castle, and others.  Hope this helps and that you enjoy reading them.

Tiffany

There are also books that are collections of short stories by related themes...marriage, dying, etc.

Among the Shadows, The Doctor's Sweetheart, Along the Shore... I think there are six in all.
