Anne Jones was born in Newbury, Berkshire, but spent most of her early life in South London. During the 1970s, she traveled through India and Africa as a sales and marketing manager in the computer industry. She went on to work in the computer business in South Africa for four years during the 80s, returning to the UK to marry husband Tony. They spent five years living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the early Nineties before moving to Hong Kong.

In 1995, while living in Malaysia, Jones claims she was suddenly and unexpectedly guided by a ‘voice’ to go out and heal. She began treating friends and family; from there she expanded to giving workshops and retreats. Anne now lives in Burley, Hampshire, but travels around the world presenting workshops and healing groups.

Jones has written six books, released through British publisher Piatkus - an independent imprint within Little, Brown Book Group, with her sixth, The Power of You, due to be published in the UK in December 2010.

• Heal Yourself (2002) — Described as “an all-round, down-to-earth guide to healing your body, mind, emotions and soul”. The book contains simple exercises and instructions along with Jones' unique symbols.

Jones is an active figure in the fields of self-healing and self-empowerment. She tours the world (America, South Africa, Australia, and the Far East lecturing, running workshops and giving healing.

Jones is a founder of the registered charity The Hearts and Hands for Africa, set up in 2007 to assist vulnerable children. The charity is supported by the profits raised from the author's work. The Hearts and Hands for Africa helps AIDS orphans in Zambia by getting children back into school and by supporting their grandmothers and careers with micro-loans for small businesses and self-supporting initiatives.
