Has anyone here read these 3 books? The Preacher's Daughter, The Englisher, and The Brethren? I haven't read any of her amish book - actually no amish books at all - but in this first book Annie loves art and has to  hide it from her family because it'snot allowed..how does it all end up? does she get to stay in the amish community,d o her art, get the man she loves/wants? also her friend Louise I think it is who's getting married at the beginning then walks away..and the friend I suspect is being abused by her amish hubby...

sorry but I really want to know what to expect with these since I saw a review about another series where several were saying to stop at book 1 and make up your own ending..

anyways please pm me so as not to spoil anything for others..I'm only a little ways then flipped to the end but not looking too good at that point though honesly I didn't read a whole lot of it to know if things were finalized beyond changing...and also is the trilogy worth reading? I was attracted to it since it talks about someone being torn between their love of their painting and their close-knit religious community and faith since I read Chaim Potok's My Name is Asher Lev and The Gift of Asher Lev a while back and still love those books and just the concept of him pursuing his art but giving up so much or rather having so much taken from him. I'm wanting HEAs here but thought af first t hese were romance(Lewis' books) but now I'm thinking they may be more fiction and that doesn't always guarantee a good ending IMO.
