My husband has voraciously consumed everything I could find by Laymon. Can any of you horror buffs suggest another author who writes a similar yarn? I think he's really fond of the really gruesome spiced with really gratuitous sex. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would say that Edward Lee and Jack Ketchum are similar to Laymon.  Have him check out some of their books.

Thank you. He said he'll try them.

I was also going to say Edward Lee -but I think Lee adds a little bit more to the descriptive sex/violence.

I agree that Lee is more graphic I guess you could say.  I read Lee first and then discovered Laymon.  Love them both!
