Sort of a sequel to "Must Love Misletoe" but you don't have to read that one to enjoy this book. Jilted schoolteacher Hannah Davis heads to Coronado California for a vacation and also to confront Caroline, the woman who married her fiance Duncan. Her uncle connects her with Tanner Hart, ex Secret Service agent who is nursing some emotional wounds of his own. He is supposed to be her tour guide and keep an eye on her, but he can't resist her charms. Good, quick, steamy read.

Fun romance set in San Diego and nearby communities. Some of the characters have a military/secret service background and that comes through in the book. Romance is between a school teacher and ex-secret service man.

Excellent compainon piece to "Must Love Mistletoe", Finn & Bailey make a brief appearance, but the story is definitely about the Hart brothers, Tanner & Troy.

I enjoyed this book emensely, and would definitely read more Christine Ridgeway books.

From back of book

I HATE AULD LANG SYNE

After all this year brought Hannah Davis nothing but the memory of her wandering fiance marring someone else behinf her back. Now sitting alone in a bar in Coronado California on Dec. 31st, she decides to do something radical...and lets a brooding good-looker take her to bed. But when a hysterical woman bursts in to their room much to early on News Years day, Hannah realizes this guy is more complicated than she thought

Ex Secret Service agent Tanner Hart screwed up bigtime! Hoping to temporarily boot some of the ghosts from his life, he hooked up with a sexy stranger for a hot one night stand - only to discover shes the woman he agreed to protect...from men just like him

But a new year is a time for fresh beginnings. Despite the danger hoopla and the hangovers, if Hannah's brave enough to risk her heart again and Tanner's wise enough to realize he deserves it maybe this one will be different

Great book!!!

Great as usual. Will always pick up a Christie Ridgway book. This is Hannah and Tanner's story, who was in her previous novel, Must Love Mistletoe.

This book is actually the first book of two that involve a couple of friends. I read the second one first, but let me tell ya, I loved them both. Christie Ridgway knows how to capture your heart and her books are kind of hard to put down once you start reading.

Second in a series. The first being Must Love Mistletoe which I posted last month. Great read!
