I sent out a book, using postage and DC through PBS.  It arrived on 11-15-07.  But it still shows up on my "Items I've mailed" tray.   When will it move to my transaction list?   Does this mean the receiver of the book hasn't marked it as received?    I did PM her to see if she got it.  No response.  Is there anything I can do to get it moved?

They might be traveling for the Thanksgiving holidays.... or away from home for some reason.  I would give it a few more days before sending a PM.

How do you know it was received it PBS does not have it listed as received?

Did you use USPS Confirmation of Delivery? Is that how you know?

  Hi Betsy,

From the Help Center:

If you sent the book with PBS-DC and it has been recorded as delivered by USPS but hasn't been marked received yet:
  • Remember that the book could have been scanned as "delivered" at the local PO, before it went to the requestor's mailbox--the actual delivery can be a few days later  Also, the book could have been misdelivered.
  • You can contact the requestor using the button on the transaction on the Books I've Mailed tab in My Account when a few days have passed after delivery.
  • If the requestor does not respond to your PM within a few days, and/or has not marked the book received by a week after the delivery scan, contact us.  We will look into it.
  • You will already have gotten your credit when the barcode was scanned by USPS.

I hope this helps!

I know it was received because I bought postage through PBS, with DC.  It is marked "arrived at unit."   I did PM the receiver, and haven't heard anything back.   I would think that if she didn't get the book, she'd wonder, and contact me...right?

Thanks for all the input.

Betsy

Betsy,

"Arrival at unit" can mean that the package arrived at the post office but hasn't been delivered yet.  If it has been more than a week since you sent a PM to the person who ordered the book, you can contact R&R.  Use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page; then click on "Send feedback"  (can't remember the exact wording).

You received your credit already, didn't you?

Yes.  I received my credit.  I would just like the book gone from my "books I've sent" tray,' and moved to my competed Transactions list.    I think I PM'd her just before Thanksgiving.
