I remember last year seeing a post where people listed upcoming release dates for books.  I found it immensely usefull and wondered if anyone had info on what's coming out in 2011?  My signature has the books I'm looking forward to and know of at this time.  Also, if anyone else is excited about these books and would like to chat,  I'd love to hear about it!

The first post in the forum gives a list of all the books that everyone has noticed is being released for 2011. There are too many for me to count that I have already added to WL for 2011.

Holy crap!  Brenda put alot of work into that.  It's fantastic and I feel pretty stupid for missing it!  (first post-sheesh) Looks like I've got some wishing to do. lol

Regardless, I'd still love to talk to anyone who's excited about these books, too!

Merry Christmas!

Me too!  I think that is my all time favorite series.  For Christmas this year I gave my son's gf the boxed set of the first 6 BDB books, to get her hooked too.  <grin>  Last Christmas I gave her the Vampire Academy boxed set (books 1-4).  She read it, both of her sisters and her best friend read it, and then the rest of the series.  It's nice to have another reader in the family!

I finally got my oldest daughter reading (17) and the Vampire Academy books are what did it.  Now we can talk about vamps together. : )

I love the BDB, too.  Told my husband I learned new swear words reading them! LOL  Always good to have new 'sentence inhancers'.

Shadowfever is at the top of my list for 2011, though.  I was distraught at the end of the last book.  WHO DID SHE KILL?!! lol

Carolyn I put off reading the last Fever book because the cliffhangers drive me insane! So about a month ago I finally read it thinking "well it cant be that bad, ive only got a couple months til the next and last one comes out". Well. Man was I wrong. When I read those last couple sentences I was SOOOO upset! And a little worried....lol.

Alisa its soooo hard to say for sure but I think that the BDB may be my favorite too! Im in love with all of the brothers!

I know what you mean, Melissa!  KMM posted the first chapter of Shadowfever on her website and I refused to read it.  I can't handle the drama! lol  I'll wait until I can read the whole book.  Besides that, my family had to listen to me complain and angst over it forever after I read the last book.  So I'm sparing them. ; )

Oh wow. I didnt know the first chapter was on her site. Im not so sure i can resist.....but im going to try.  I think my hubby was wondering what my issue was when i finished the last one too. I complained for so long that he finally said "come on now, its just a book".  Just a book? He just doesnt get it. lolol

LOL  I talked about it so much that even now if I say to them 'you know that book where she killed the beast and it turned into someone she knows?', they know what I'm talking about.  And yes, I still bring it up from time to time.lol  Other books I love to talk about are Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark.  I always say to them 'you kow the ones with the valkyries?'.  Or Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan - 'Tink's a Disney whore!'.  Love those books!

OMG I love the IAD books.  I love how Kresley puts in pop culture references like how Nix was stalking Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs or how one of the valkyries used Ceasar Milan's (the Dog Whisper) finger snap and 'tsss' sound to discapline a lykae.  I laughed 'till I cried!!

I highly reccomend the Rachel Morgan series!  Jenks the Pixie is hilarious.  All his swearing references Tinkerbell and is so funny. Very good urban fantasy.

I didn't realize KMM had posted just an excerpt.  I have her as a friend on Facebook and saw it mentioned there.  Didn't even go look cuz I'd get myself all worked up. lol

I'm most looking forward to Lover Unleased.  I just can't wait to see the interaction between V and Payne.  The cover of LU is something else, isn't it?  It's quite similar to the cover of Lover Mine, but I like the blue better than the red.

Also, I love the Night Huntress series and the Fever series so any new books for those are on my to get list.

I'm also dying to read Shadowfever (new Fae Fever book)  I just hate how she ends her books.  But absolutly love the series.  I guess its a great way to keep people reading cause now your too excited to find out what the heck actually happened at the end of the last book.  UGG just talking about it makes me need to read it even more.

Though I really want to read the new cat and bones book to and the new hollows book with Rachel.  I love the tinkerbell curses too they are super funny.  Sigh why can't they just be out when you want to read them.

Yes, I hate the lag time between books.  Some are so bad I don't even remember what they were about even when I've got them on my keeper shelf.  For instance, I didn't think there would be anymore Jaz Parks books by Jennifer Rardin since she passed not too long ago but then I see Bitten in Two is out and another is coming in 2011!  I love the series but had given up on them obviously thinking there wouldn't be anymore and now I can't remember enough about them to read the new book!  I had only saved  #7 so now I've got the rest WL'd.  I know I really liked them so it's no too much of a hardship. lol  Just can't afford to buy the first  6 of them again.

If you are curious about Paranormal/urban fantasy books in 2011 by debut authors or new series by authors, just check out my list in my signature line. I try to keep it up-to-date. Anyone can contribute to it. I just ask that you don't add established series books beyond book 1.

I know what you mean, I've got a few hundred books on my TBR shelves!  But I read about a book a day which is too much to remember everything I read so I have to reread sometimes to remember what was going on. lol

I have the first 4 books in that JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood series.  I found them last year when I started the Paranormal challenge, but with so many books to read, I didn't get to them, and I love good vampire books. It sounds like they come highly recomended.

I will have to read them year for the vampire catagory then read that Lover Unleashed as another of my "new release" books.  Do they all have to be read in order?

It looks like there are some good reads coming out this year.

Yes Josie, I would very much recommend that the BDB series be read in order. They are AMAZING! Perfect for your parnormal challenge!
