No books as gifts, but gift cards for books. ;)  Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

I got T is for TARDIS, mostly as a joke because of my love for Doctor Who and a signed copy of Christopher Fowler's The Book of Forgotten Authors. Don't believe I've ever had a birthday or Christmas without receiving at least one book.

Everyone close to me knows how much I love books.  So I generally get quite a few for Christmas.  Due to the weather this year not everyone was able to make it on Christmas Eve, when we usually celebrate.  We finally all got together last night, so now my list of Christmas goodies is complete.

I received:

Obama an Intimate Portrait  by: Pete Souza Former Chief White House Photographer

Natural Diaster I Cover Them, I Am One  by:  Ginger Zee

Knit Me, Dress Me, Love Me  by Sue Stratford  (This is a pattern book to make knitted animals and clothes for them)

A Stash Of One's Own  Knitters on Loving, Living With, And Letting Go Of Yarn  by:  Clara Parkes

Secrets Of Cavendon  by:  Barbara Taylor Bradford

The Mistletoe Secret  by:  Richard Paul Evans

Murder, She Wrote #2 Hooray For Homicide   by:  James Anderson

Murder, She Wrote #3 Lovers And Other Killers  by:  James Anderson  (These two are old paperbacks and were on my Wish List)

Chasing Light:  Michelle Obama Through The Lens Of A White House Photographer  by:  Amamda Lucidon  (This was an early Christmas present I bought for myself)

My family and my best friend are very good to me.  Books are an easy gift, and can be very reasonable.  Unfortunately, other then my best friend, who has the same passion for books that I have, my family are not readers, so they are not as easy to shop for.

Charles, we should get in touch.  I do have a daugher and SIL.  Did I read sometime - somewhere - here on PBS that you are from North Texas?  I live in the Dallas area, although a suburb.  Christmas has almost become a non-event for us - since there are only 3 of us.  I did put out a truckload (literally) of decorations for both Halloween and Christmas.
