I have not read anything but Out of Africa. Read it once. Saw the movie once but found it too depressing to see it again. I am thinking of trying some other of her books but not sure which to try.

It's been years, but I own 3 collections of short stories. I enjoyed 7 Gothic Tales, all set in Europe, and Winter's Tales. I should reread them.

sometimes she is referred to as Karen Blixen. I think that may be her real name.

I will admit that I loved the movie, Out of Africa.  But any movie with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford is a winner to me.  I loved the romance and they madea great story out of reality.  Apparently, the real true story is that they were lovers but she was just one of many for him and he was one of many for her.  The truth was not so romantic as the movie.

I will also admit that I couldn't read her books.  Just not interesting to me. I tried the one Letters from Africa but found most of it boring.
