It's a small thing - but one I can't figure out.  The checkmark at the top of my page says "6 books en route to you".  But I only have 5 that I can see and one that hasn't been mailed.  At first, I thought it counted the unmailed one - but it also says "1PendingRequest from you".  I've marked all incoming books I've received as "received".  None are missing or outstanding.  The math doesn't add up -think it's just a quirk in the software - that it hasn't caught up?  I'd hate to miss something or someone.

Ruth, at the moment mine is fine, but a couple weeks ago it kept insisting (that little checkmark) that I had 1 book En Route to me; I didn't.  I do think it's a quirk and it will catch up.  I wasn't worried about it, honestly, but perhaps a hard-refresh would clear it out?

A little Bernhard taught me a trick to clear out my cache. I find that on PBS, I need to do that at least once a week, or else it insists there are books are route to me (which is a total fake out. there are no books en route to me) or that I have an unread PM, again, a lie!

Try clearing the browser history & cookies, etc. It should do the trick.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info.  Bernhard is really good at this sort of thing.  I'll have to get DH to do it since this is a new computer and a new browser - so I don't mess things up - I'll let him mess things up since he's the one who will have to fix it!  ;D

Have you checked your tabs?  It looks like someone wants one of your books.

When you're on the page that says you have 6 books enroute, just click the "reload" or "refresh" button on the top of your browser.  That'll force a fresh page view.

Newruth - yes, I checked it.  No one wanted any at that time.  The pending request was a book I'd requested from someone else - at least that's how I interpreted it.

Thanks, Ginger Kitty - I'll try that.  I can definitely handle that on my own. ;D

If you have a "books sent to friends" tab, it counts that as "enroute to you" also.

I don't know if this is a related problem or not. Between March 4 and 9 I've had three books show as "delivered" in the DC details but haven not been marked as received. (I realize that sometimes it takes a person a couple days to mark them, but this seems like a high number for one time and within a specific period.) I also have two that I printed on March 4 and mailed on March 5; neither are showing the "electronic shipping info received" information in the details, even though that should show up shortly after I pay for the postage and print the mailers. Ones that I printed today are already showing up with the electronic info details. The combination of the two problems makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the website updating itself with current info.

Has anyone else noticed something like this?

leaan - that's very interesting and probably jus what it is since I do have a book sent to a friend currently.  Good to know - never know what you can learn here!!

I don't know if this will address the DC and electronic info thing - but I've had books with PBS DC go through to delivery and never get scanned at any point - so no info except that I bought it and mailed it was there.  I do know that books with DC can be marked delivered and not be delivered because the road I live on is currently under construction that blocks the rural mailboxes (for the last 2 days) - and the books that did arrive the last time this happened had: "boxes blocked - can't deliver" written on them so that the DC would have been marked delivered but they weren't.
