I'm looking for some great biographies for my friend's 10 year old son. He read one about Thomas Edison and loved it. He reads at a high level for his age, but needs books with content suited for a young person. I don't need a deal. I just need some help finding some great books! Sarah

If your friend wants Christian bios there are some wonderful ones published by Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Here's the search link: http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/author/Geoff+Benge

This series has been around for a while. They are written for the pre-teen age.

For another great series, put "landmark books" in the PBS search engine.

There are a couple of other series that use a fictional character as an eyewitness. They are the We Were There & the Christian Trailblazer series.

Hope this helps!

DK has some awesome, full-color biography books.  I love to read them!

Do a PBS search for "DK Biography".

I have several biographies for young people on my bookshelf. I have  Helen Kellar, Daniel Boone and Thomas Edison and Sam the Minuteman for sure. I think I also have Clara Barton and some others if you want to check. I have 397 books but you can filter it to just look at the biographies or just nonfiction. Blessings, Peggy
