My son is 10 but a very advanced reader. He loves any books about dragons, wizard and magic. I am looking for some good books for him for xmas. Even if you dont have a deal I am always looking for good books for him.

Your son might enjoy Timothy Zahn's Dragonback series.  The first one is Dragon & Thief.  (This is actually more SF than fantasy.) The main character is Jack, a 14 year old, who finds an alien dragon, Dracos, in a wrecked ship.  Dracos race are symbiants who live on their host as an elaborate tattoo of a dragon.  They can become three dimensional at will, as long as they return to their host within 6 hours.  Jack is a thief, sort of trying to go straight, and Dracos is a noble warrior, who tries to teach Jack about honor.  So there are some mild life lessons during the adventures they have! There is some mild violence in the stories, but no gore. Zahn is known as a writer of hard science fiction, and I have always enjoyed his work.  I picked up the series not realizing it was young adult.  Once I started reading it, it was clearly YA, but I thoroughly enjoyed the books and look forward to the new ones!

I believe they are all wishlisted here, but amazon or barnes & noble should have them.

These are ones I will add to my wishlist. I am ashamed to admit this but my son has about 180 books on his TBR pile. He is a fast reader but it is going to be a while before he reads all 180 books lol. I wanted to get him some good books for christmas but all of the books that he really really wants are WL books and I am on the list. Hopefully a few will come up soon.

Has he read the Pern series?  I presume so, but if not that's definitely something for him to try.
