So after logging in yesterday, I got the screen that showed each buddy with a button to either invite or delete.  I went through the process and now, well, they are all gone even though I had only chosen to delete a small handful that I couldn't figure out why they were on there.  They are not showing as the pending invites.  Any insight would be appreciated.

yes, same thing happened to me.

Pending invites?  I don't see that at all, even though I did send some.

Mine just came back.  Apparently you have to process (convert) everything before you can see the updated buddy list features.

Same thing happened to me.  Mine never came back.  I only had a few, and I could remember the ones I wanted to keep, so the others are gone for good, I guess.

Now I have a few new ones, and have no idea who the are...

Under your Buddy list you will find a button "Buddy List Invitations" it is under this that you will find the names of the ones you sent an invitation to be your buddy.  They didn't disappear, I've found that you just have to hunt them up.

Mine went POOF! Never to show up in the Invites Sent list. I've seen a lot of people that had it happen.

Same thing happened to me.  I went through my buddy list, marking 'delete' or 'invite', and they all just disappeared.  Now I get this:

You do not have any pending buddy list requests that have been sent to other members.

I just went through and invisted most of  my list to be on my buddy list....andd then when it is converted-or what ever it does, it'll tell you when the ones that aren't on line were last on line.

I wasn't seeing the ones I invited or accepted until I figured out the ones showing up were waiting for me to either invite or delete.  Once I deleted those few, my buddy list was back up with all those I accepted.

Well, thank you, thank you, thank you.  Everything disappeared on my list, too, except for four names that I couldn't decide whether or not to invite.  I couldn't figure out what was going on, there was nothing in the help center, and asking in other threads and sending feedback didn't provide any answers.  Now, that I deleted those names I have a buddy list again!  This whole changeover to the buddy list has been handled incredibly poorly.  It kind of shocks me because I've always previously found this site to be an exemplar of how to do a website.  Several things that are happening now, though, are very discouraging.

Mary Anne C.  If you read your newsletter you will find information about the recent changes...there has also been quite a bit of explanations in the forums.

I guess if you don't come to the site very often it would be overwhelming to find the several changes that have occurred at one time.  It is my understanding that there are some more changes coming, one being the WishList.  If I'm not mistaken before or at the time of the change there was a posting about it in CMT.

Actually, I come to the site constantly, but I haven't had time to read in the Forums the last couple of months, and when I do read here, it's mostly in the Book Bazaar.  Also, I have to admit that I'm behind on reading the monthly message for the last few months, too.   Nevertheless, I need to say that I don't think not providing warnings about major changes to how things work at the time they happen is good practice.  An email message the day before a change is implemented or a warning box on one's "my account" home page would have been a huge help.  People do get behind.  They do forget that they've read about something weeks before it happens.

So would some explanation of why my buddy list just completely disappeared even though I responded "accept" to several invitations and had sent out several invitations.  I ended up with four names from my old buddy list that I couldn't decide what to do about and saw nothing else for days.  If there was an explanation in the help center, I couldn't find it--and I did look--nor did I get a response to the inquiries I sent or the posts I made here at the forums.  Befuddlement is not my favorite state of being.
