I know, we are supose to be talking books, but this kind of is!  It was the show on last nite after Dancing with the Stars, about the writer and the cop.  I thought it was very, very good!  And just right up our alley, gals!  Did you see it and what did you think?

I just finished watching it (love that DVR) and really enjoyed it.  It was great to see James Patterson, Stephen Cannell and was that Faye Kellerman(?) make an appearance. Hope those cameos are a regular little extra.

You know, I'm not sure if that was Faye Kellerman.  I thought so at first and then the camera didn't seem to light on her and she didn't say anything, so, I don't know....

OMG - that show was SO good! I'm hooked already!! And it was fun seeing the authors sitting around playing poker! :)  Especially my favorite -- James Patterson. I too hope they keep up the cameos.

I missed Faye Kellerman though .... or I guess I probably wouldn't recognize her anyhow.

I couldn't tell who the woman was, but Sue Grafton is supose to be appearing as one of his poker buddies.

Yup, I think you are right, now that I think about it, it did look like her.  I wonder why they didn't give her lines or give us a chance to see and hear her like they did the guys?  Maybe they did and I just missed it.

I definately will be watching next Monday, I hope it stays a good show............and they don't end up canceling it!

I enjoyed it, also!  I don't watch a lot of TV, but I'm a big fan of the lead actor.  I'll definitely be watching again on Monday.

I think it has the potential to be a really good show--a little mystery, comedy, drama--all in one.  I thought the cameos were great!  They should have advertised that more. It will be interesting to see who shows up next!

I can't wait to see the next show to see if it lives up!

I thought this one was really good, too!  I just hope they don't go overboard making it too........whatever.  Not sure what I am trying to say, but you know.   I knew it was the other nanny!

I join the chorus.  It is so much fun, and Nathan Fillian is such a pleasure to watch - his comedic timing is so great and he stays just shy of being over the top!

I just googled it ; Stephen. J. Cannell and James Patterson are the only card players mentioned.  Nothing about the woman's identity.

I am hooked. I rarely watch tv but got sick and was laying on the couch one night and it was on. Since then, I've watched all the episodes online. I think they are great. Also, if this story were a book, I'd love to read it. :)

I agree Misti, I would read it too!  I have cut out a lot of tv the last couple of years so that I have more reading time.  Desperate Housewives and Dancing with the Stars (and now Castle) are what I am down to.  And truthfully, Desperate Housewives had better get more interesting or I'm done with it, too.  I hope they don't cancel Castle on me, that usually happens!  When I saw the 1st episode, I thought of this forum.....I kind of thought we would all (mostly) like it.

I'm like you Carol, I was unrealistically hoping there would be a whole season (that just started late) instead of a 1/2 season.  It is really the best entertainment on TV that I can think of!

I also was sorry that last night was the end of the season. They certainly left us hanging though ,didn't they?  This is one of the few tv shows I watch. I also like The Mentalist.

I have been watching the show since it started, and really enjoyed it.  I didn't know this was the last episode of the season!! I hate when they hook you on a show with just a taste, then make you wait for more.  As  long as it comes back, I'll be happy.  I was truly disappointed when ABC cancelled the Women's Murder Club. I hope they don't make the same mistake with Castle.

I happened to be walking by the TV when my husband was watching it, saw Nathan Fillion and said, "WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING!???" and he said "It's called Castle." I love Nathan Fillion, so I may have to try to watch this from the beginning.

I never watch TV...or, very rarely...so have no idea what's on and who's who. I generally get interested in series after they're cancelled. Or, if I show an interest, they're immediately cancelled, so those of you who like this show do NOT want me to watch it, I'm sure. LOL

I'm sad it was the end too. It leaves us with a good but very unsatisfying ending if it gets canceled. Otherwise, we could be in for some more great episodes. I hope it's the latter. :)

...ABC has pick CASTLE up for next season, so...it will be back!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!

Is it just me or does anyone else see just a touch of "MOONLIGHTING" vibe in this show?

Liked Nat as Calab, and as Malcom Reynolds so its no wonder I'm loving him as Richard Castle!
