Recently I've been having a problem moving from one post to another or one site to another on PBS. For some reason when I try to move from, say one post to another on Book Bazaar, it freezes up and won't move. Not just Book Bazaar, but also other sites on PBS. If I move off PBS and go back to other sites on my computer to see if it's my computer acting up, I don't have a problem.

Is it just me or my computer, or are other people having the same problem? It's a little disconcerting to have to shut down and boot back up to get back to PBS and move around. But when I do that it's fine. Just wondering if the volume of traffic on PBS is what's causing it or is it me!!

Any answers??

Thanks,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Shirley

I had the same problem with Windows Vista using IE7.  I finally upgraded to IE8 and the problem completely stopped.

Try closing your browser, empty the cache, and reopen.  Or restart your machine.  It sometimes helps.

Thanks for the replies, but I'm afraid I don't have a clue as to what you all are talking about!!  I know enough about a computer to browse the internet, check out my favorite sites, PBS!! and email.

I don't know what IE7 is or upgrading to IE8. What's "choke" Vista???  Google chrome??  Firefox?? I guess I'll just stick with shutting down and re-booting....I do know how to do that. At least I know I'm not the only one who's had the problem and it's not my computer.

Thanks anyway.....

Shirley

Different browsers deal with PBS in slightly different ways.  Do make sure that you have the latest version of your browser.  The updates often have the newest security notices.  (These names are all types of browsers or operating systems.)

For a long time I ran IE and XP with very few (if any) problems.  Firefox works well too.
