Our library system will be migrating to the Evergreen system by October - I'd never heard of it and I'm wondering if anyone's library system uses it, and how is it user-wise?

This will be the 3rd system my library uses since I started going back to the library in early 2005.

Yup, I've used it. Our library migrated to it about a month or so ago (along with I guess the other libraries in our county). I've found it to be OK. I think the previous catalog system that we had was a bit more user-friendly, but I've gotten use to it.  I was happy that it has a feature called "bookbags" which are lists of books that you intend to reserve some day. That was a feature in our old system and luckily I didn't lose any of the info when they migrated.

Gail is that all libraries in the area or just yours?  I wonder if Agawam is switching and what that means.

Mary, I think it's the whole C/W MARS system, western mass, central mass. There's a big page about it on my library's homepage.
