A friend and I have wanted to go to one of her 3 day  conferences for years now but our schedules didn't permit us. This year it looks like we are both free that weekend and we want to make it happen in August at the Hershey PA location. If you have been to one of her conferences, please tell me anything you can about the experience.Thanks.

I went and saw her in New Orleans several years ago with a friend from church.  It was a Friday night and Saturday conference.  I had watched on TV a lot and jumped at the chance to be able to see her.  She spoke pretty much just like on TV.

On Saturday, she had a time of prayer to minister to those that had addictions (best I remember) but for some reason that I have never been able to pin point or explain, it didn't seem real.  Almost like instead of the Holy Spirit being there, it was the other side.  Something just didn't seem right.  The friend I was with had a similar reaction.  I haven't watched her on TV since and as far as I know, neither has she.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but that was my experience.

I've seen her twice - the first time was in 1995 I think or thereabouts. she was in Houston at a small church on the southeast side of town - Alvin I think it was. I e njoyed it..it was about 'abiding in the vine' and I liked her bluntness and of course all the shopping at her tables LOL! this was before cd's so a LOT of cassette tapes. I loved her teaching and found it very motivational. As usual the drive for money which is always a turn-off for me for some reason. I really didnt  pay much attention to the prayers since I wanted the teaching and I was very motivated afterwards. That time I attended the entire conference..my friend couldn't go but 'donated' another friend for me so we carpooled and had a good time. It started Thurs night then 2 sessions Friday and I think Saturday as well though not sure if there was a night session on Saturday..don't think there was.

year before last I went on Saturday morning only and it had moved to the Lakewood Church by then was was  huge-mongous with video screens and she showed stuff about prostitutes and all that and lots of singing by performers and well it didnt have the same feel to it as I had the first time. she was still her blunt self but maybe it was just missing the first part of the conference. I just got the 'commercial' feeling instead of the 'intimacy of fellow women' feeling I had before at the smaller location if that makes sense.

If it's convenient for you to go I'd give it a shot and see. just go open-minded and have fun!
