a PBS Bible Buddies swap game which would be similar to the Diva swap but with a Christian basis? I love the Divas, but I have to admit sometimes the language/conversation in the Diva thread gets uncomfortable for me...

I'm thinking we could swap some of the same kinds of items the Divas do, but also try to swap Christian-themed items as well.

I've already got moderator approval I just want to see if there is any interest before I try to start it up.

Bren, I might be interested, but it would mostly depend on my money situation each month, and if I had some extra.

Kinds of things the Divas swap -

  • chocolate
  • drink mixes (coffee, tea, cocoa)
  • bath and body stuff
  • candles/candle holders
  • books
  • bookmarks
  • gifts for our kids
  • movies/CDs
  • knick knacks
  • craft items
  • food items
  • scent items such as incense, soaps, air fresheners, etc.
  • cozy socks/slippers
  • PJs
  • other clothing items
  • purses
  • stationary/writing
  • things we collect
  • jewelry
  • scarves
  • makeup
  • etc. etc.

A Christian swap could have the same type of items but also we would try to find items with an inspirational theme for some of the stuff we send.

We could do the swap each month and discuss the Christian books we are reading at the same time maybe.

For money I am thinking a $20 minimum (plus shipping) but no maximum limit, same as the Divas. Also "regifted" items or gently used items would be allowed as long as each buddy OK's it.

Bren--Will give a more detailed explanation of what the swap entails.  I don't really understand how it works.  Thanks, Kay

I'm probably going to start this up in the next few days to shoot for a Valentine's Day receive-by date. Chocolate anyone? ;-)

I'd love a swap like this IF the swaps were kept low priced.   When everyone tries to outdo each other in this type of swap,  it just gets more and more expensive.     There are SO many buddy swaps on right now that I'd probably pass on a Valentine one but would join one later.

This sounds like fun but I already have all my homeschool swap stuff to send.

Since this goes every month is this something that I could jump into later? When I have money? 20 is a bit high for me.

Maybe we could do 15 dollars or something or have different groups with different amounts? Example, I want to spend 10 so I'm a diva with another person who wants to spend 10? etc. Like 3 catagories of 10 people 10, 15, 20  dollars. That may be a bit compliated though. I'll do whatever. I'm in.

My dvd swap games have ended... bookmark swap is over... so aside from the tea swap, I'm free. Any idea when you might start this? :o)

I'm waiting to start this until the Valentine's Day buddy swap is over. I don't like being involved in more than one buddy swap at a time, it gets too expensive. Plus my January Diva box hasn't made it to my buddy yet.

We could be the "Faithful Divas" or "Divas of Faith" LOL
