I've been trying to find this book for a few months, but I can't remember the title or author! It was the first romance novel I ever read back when I was about 10 or 11 (so it's probably around 12-15 years old).

It's about a man and woman who each have their own daughters from previous relationships. I forget what the man does for a living, but the woman is involved with archeology. I'm thinking one of the girls's names is Cassie, but I could be wrong. The parents fight the attraction because the daughters can't stand that their parents might be in a relationship. Eventually, the heroine and the man's daugther go to some ruin (it might be a Myan ruin or an Inca ruin), where the bad guys try to kill them. The heroine gets seriously injured and the hero's daughter has a sprained ankle. The hero and the woman's daughter end up rescuing the other two and they all live happily ever after.

Please help! My google-fu is useless!

EDIT: Okay, so I just remembered that they were looking at Montezuma's Well (I think!).
