There's a thread about this over in the USPS Postal Regulations board.  Hopefully there's something helpful there, because otherwise I can't help you.

I had a book show those messages this weekend, but the book is now showing delivered. I think that they must be having some database problems, and it's not recognizing some of the info?

Sounds like USPS has upgraded their tracking software.  IIRC both of those new designations should appear after 'Arrival at Unit' . . . PC means something like 'processing complete' and OF means 'out for delivery'.   The 'delivered' scan should appear soon thereafter.

No idea what's with the 'Unknown'.
