Above is the tracking info. I have received neither notice or book so I'm kind of at a loss. Any thoughts?

You should probably ask at the post office. Or maybe the mail carrier, if you are in a poisition to speak with him/her. Maybe they will remember what they did with the package.

This should be a slip of paper with the mail that you need to go to the post office to pick up the parcel.  If no one was home and it did not fit into the mail box, then notice might be left.  UPS leaves post its.  The USPS usually puts a small notice in with the mail.

You can contact your local post office.

Yes, there should be a small salmon colored USPS slip in your mailbox requesting you pick up the package at your post office.

There was no slip of any sort. They've never done this before as there is a secure vestibule in which packages can be (and are, ever day) left. Really, this makes no sense. I'm sort of assuming it's lost? I basically never see our carrier and have zero time to go to the PO (and I am slipless, so i don't really see the use). It's bizarre that it was marked delivered a couple of hours before the notice note was marked. Whatever. It's not a huge deal, just annoying.

I had the same tracking info a few months ago. No slip. Package showed up a few days later. I asked my carrier about it and she said it was a misscan.

That's kind of what I'm hoping. Did they also mis-mark yours delivered?

Yes, it was misscanned first as delivered and then as notice left.

Just call the PO and ask if they have a package there for you.  Mine was able to look and tell me yes or no. (was a yes)

Honestly, dealing with my disorganized, overwhelmed BK PO isn't something I can face right now.

If you're not up to it right way caviglia, wait a couple days and see if the book shows up.  If not, copy the tracking number and contact your PO so they can look for it.  Just don't wait too long b/c staff quicky forgets details when they are delivering so many packages every day.

Seriously, now is not the time. If the sender would like to do it, they can have at it. It's one book. I really am not going to inflict a frustrating, useless phone call on myself right now.

ETA - it's a high valume, big city PO. If they have any idea wht happened, I will die of shock.

But, thanks for the advice.

I've had this happen before (I'm in Bushwick, Brooklyn) and I've taken the printout to the post office and they were able to check in the back and find the book.  Just do it within a week of receiving the notice otherwise they frequently send it back unclaimed.

It actually just showed up as unclaimed. I didn't have time (really) to get to the PO. Ugh.

All you have to do is call the P.O. and ask them to re-deliver it. It's not that big a deal. By not claiming it, the sender will receive a lost in mail on their record for no reason.
