I have the first book in a 2 books series, by Karen White.  The 2nd book is After the Rain.  I have it on my wish list, but really want to read the series.  I will not start until I have both books. LOL.  I checked Amazon , B & N and also e-bay.  The cheapest I could find the book was on Amazon and they wanted $31.99 for a paperback copy.  There is no book worth that much money LOL.  I e-mailed the author to see if she knew of a place I could get it cheaper. Her response was NOPE.

If anyone knows where I can find a cheaper copy please pm me.  I don't know why it is so high.

Do you HAVE to own it or do you just need a copy in hand? I looked on WorldCat and there are 84 libraries in the United States who have that book. It fits the criteria of not being published in the last year. If you're willing to spend the $3 or so to mail it back to them when you're done, your local library should easily be able to get this on an Interlibrary Loan. I can almost guarantee it, because the Sara Hightower library in GA popped up on the search and they send me things all the time.

that was going to be my suggestion also - your public library.

You  might try some used book stores as well.  But I'm with Nancy, go to the library!

Just wanted to post an update.  I went to both the city and county libraries,  The put out a search in the state of Maryland and found none.  Then they checked nation wide and found 1 copy in Maine yep Maine.  They were going to ask for the book to be lent to them so I could borrow it.  The problem is there is a  list of 386 people waiting for the dang book.  Think I will just forget about it LOL

Here is what was posted on GRs on 9-11-11 about this book:

Jennifer Morgan @Jeesica:
I sent Carrie an email but I maybe I should type it here after all....

I emailed the author about this book and she said she is giving the book a facelift and putting it back out on the market next year. As she told me, don't waste that much money or more on the book when you can just buy it cheaper when it comes out again next year. :o) The rewritten version of AFTER THE RAIN will be available next fall (2012).

Happy reading! :o)
