I am looking for the Red River of the North set by Lauraine Snelling, books 2-6 and would like a great deal. I am on the wishlist here at PBS but they just are not appearing in the system. I know of CBD.com and other sites like that but was hoping for a really good deal on the books--new or used. Alibris has good prices for the books but the postage will kill you. Please pm me if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Wanda

Wanda

Books 2,3 and 5 are listed in the PBS system. You have the ones with the newer covers on your WL. If you're not picky about having all the covers match, here are the links for the ones that are listed

Yes, I saw the older version but was hoping for the newer covers since I already have one like that. I thought I would check out all my options and then go for the older ones if necessary. :)

Wanda, how rapidly are you wanting these books...I may have most if not all of them but, #5 is an unpostable according to my notes...I've been trying to figure out if I've read them all before...

It comes out to about $9 a book so probably not the best deal, but considering some of the books are $11 individually, it ends up being better to buy all at once.

I couldn't find the books as a set on Ebay. You might be able to get them individually for around $4-5 though. Half.com and Amazon.com have them used. You could try finding a seller who has more than one to save on shipping costs (they usually reduce the shipping on the second, third, etc. item when you buy in more than one from the same seller).

Thanks for all the replies. Still open to suggestions. I read these type books myself and I try to keep enough on hand for my 74 year old mother as well. If I don't keep her reading she's out on her tractor all day!

I like to check bookcloseout.com for cheap prices. Have gotten a lot of Christian fiction from there for $1.99. Although they don't always have that bargain, their books are even cheaper than CBD.
