I saw one of these in a deal in the book bazaar but I"m not familiar with them. I like funny and from the descriptions these sound like they might fit the bill...

I love those!  If you can, read them more or less in order - but definitely read the first book first for background!

ETA: do you know which book is 2nd? is it the 'garden path' one? the others say #3, #4, etc but don't see #2 on any...

I loved the first batch of Ellie Haskell books.  I have just finished the last one Withering Heights and was very disappointed in it.  I had been disappointed in the one before this but hoped that it would improve.

I think I am done with this series.

I've only read The Thin Woman (the first one), but it was really good.
