I've read the reviews and it sounds good, but 900 pages is a little intimidating. Has anyone read it, and if so, do you think it was worth the time you invested in it?

I actually wasn't a big reader when I read this book and it got me hooked immediately.  I couldn't put it down (then again I was also bed-bound with a broken limb).  It is still one of my all time favorites after all these years.  I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

Good luck :)

i read it to and it was great. once you start it is hard to stop. 900 pages oh that nothing not long at all. LOL but really it does not seem that long.

go for it

I read it several years ago and still remember phrases from it.  Great book--haunting.   Definitely worth the investment of time, IMO, but I do sometimes like those books that I become submerged in.  If it's good, when I re-surface I feel a bit dazed.  I felt that way about this one.

Read it and loved it. Much better than the first book (can't remember the name). It was one of those books where 900 pages seems like a lot but once you get into it, you see why it is long and it is worth every page ;)

This is probably one of the top 5 books I've read.  Wally Lamb is so great.  If you do read it and like it try "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb too.  They are both very satisfying reads.

I have read both of his books.  I loved them both.  I read "She's Come Undone" and then listened to it on audio and then I re-read the book again.  I read "I Know This Much Is True" and will re-read some day.  I just got off the w/l his new book, ""Couldn't Keep It to Myself -- Testimonies from our Imprisioned Sisters."  I can hardly wait to read it.  I have been on the w/l for this book for over a year.

I love this book!  It's one of my favorites.  DEFINITELY worth the 900 pages, and it goes really fast anyway.

A great read!!!!  I went a little slower during the novel inside the book, but so glad I did.
