I just finished it. I just wanted to know what others had thought about it.

It was O.K.  It took a while for it to get interesting

THe first time I picked up that book in the bookstore and flipped through it, I put it down because of the sex scenes. Then I read that she won an award for it (best new author) and so I tried again. The sex scenes are a little much, but she is a brilliant writer. I look forward to reading what she does next. Here's a (lenghthier) review I wrote for it:

I liked it a lot.  I kind of feel like the rest of the series went downhill.  And the third one (I'm sorry, I can't remember names right now), I had to skim a bunch, because I found it boring.  The newer series, about Imriel, I thought started really good again, though.

I've read Kushiel's Dart and really loved it and I have the next several here, but they're so doggone LONG and life has been so nuts I've put off delving into the next one. I really should, though--I think I read Kushiel's Dart sometime in late 2005 or early 2006 for heaven's sake! LOL

I read it when it came out. I have some of the rest of the series but like Cheryl they languish on MT TBR.

I remember liking it and I loved the characters. I think I read it after I had finished The Black Jewels Trilogy by Ann Bishop so I was in my darker fantasy phaze.
