They are historical biblical stories, similar to "The Red Tent." I just finished reading Lilah, which was good, but I think the story could have been developed a bit more. The story was moving along at a good pace, with a good story going and then it just seemed to rush towards the ending and left you hanging.

Has anyone else read this book? What did you think?

I read Sarah and thought it was great, but the second one, I can't remember the name, was only ok for me so I didn't read Lilah. I do have Mary of Nazareth on my WL and will give it a try.

I read  both Sarah and Lilah and agree that the stories could have been more "fleshed out" and complex.  I think that after reading the Red Tent any biblical story would pale in comparison.  What a wonderful book !
