If you did what did you think about it????  I laughed so hard my sides hurt and I drove hubby out of the room.  I had to stop reading every 10 minutes because I could not see due to laughing so hard and the tears running down my face.  I almost past this saga up.  I am now trying to get Whippoorwill in Large Print Hardcover so I can put  this series on my keeper shelf.  If you have not read it yet do so, I don't think you will be disappointed,  the 3 books are

Whippoorwill

The Amen Trail ( this is the one that will have you rolling on the floor)

The Hen House

I've never heard of these..I thought she wrote romantic suspense so I've never really tried her stuff since I'm such a wuss when it comes to violence

eta: hey my library has the first 2! :) and I saw 3 of hers nope 4 that I have in my tbr - jackson rule and a trilogy with Queenie, Diamond and forgot the other sister's name..also saw the romantic suspense harlequin/silhoutte that scared me many years ago too LOL!

I haven't read this series either, sure sounds like alot of fun. I have read her contemporaries in the past, so I might pick these up.

I think I read Queenie a long time ago and I think I have Diamond somewhere. I will have to check that shelf and see what Sala's I have. She used to be an autobuy for me, but fell off my radar for some reason.

I went and looked in my library and I have quite a few of hers when she wrote under Dinah McCall, Jackson Rule being one of my all time favorite books.

I was so intrigued by these books that I checked my library to see if they have them - picked them up today and will start off April with them. They sound very good.

I'm starting WHIPPOORWILL in a few minutes. Actually I did start it the evening I brought it home from the library but only read the dedication, forward and a few pages of Chapter 1. Started out very nicely.

I read almost 100 more pages this morning while waiting for the meat market, then the post office, then the Goodwill store to open. Couldn't have scheduled my stops better - market at 7:30, po at 8:30 and Goodwill at 9:00 so I had lots of in-between time to read.

Loving the book! It's funny and poignant, a rough & tough view of the Territories - definitely not the usual hist/rom we're used to. Gritty, human characters.

Ok, I finished Whipperwill and once Letty and Eulis pulled their little stunt the book kind of took off for me and I couldn't put it down. As a team those two were a hoot. I now cannot wait to see what these two knuckleheads get up to next. That day was hilarious. My husband thought kept wanting to know what the heck  I was laughing about. Thanks Bertie for the recommend.

Bumping up the thread to say I started the last book, THE HEN HOUSE, this morning. The first two were wonderful and only expect the same from this one.
