I can't remember the authors but it's a pink hardback book. I got this for my b-day about 2-3 years ago and kept up for a while then the other night I decided to pick it up and read some more. It basically takes one woman per week with scripture and discussion questions. some were 'Godly' and others just didn't seem to overcome.

Not sure what I'm really asking here, if anything, but some of the discussions were kind of brief and I feel like I need more explanation..some of these women are 'put down' a bit for not having 'enough faith' and 'letting their circumstances control their futures'..well some I really can't say I blame or that I could do much better myself! yet the book just doesn't get into their stories enough. For example the one I read the other night was about Mical? David's wife/Saul's daughter..her father gave her to David hoping s he'd be a snare...she risked her life to help David escape..he left her for a LONG time..Saul gave her ot another man..her brother took her back to David(forcing her to leave her new family) and gave her back..she scorned David for partying in the street and he shunned her and she died alone..sounds like a great situation huh? I read it trying to put myself in her place...was tired so n ot too easy but I really don't know what she was supposed to do?? I also feel sorry for Dinah and the one whose halfbrother lusted after, raped  her, then hated her, and her dad banished her forever...geez..I'd like to study this more in depth or find an online group of women studying this same book. I orginally heard about it ona  quilt forum because there was a yahoo group then where you bought a packet of quilt block patterns and each block went with the chapters of the book..a vry long discussion..it was very hard to follow the topics though an I don't think there's a current group going on.

ETA: Spangler is one of the authors. here's a link if it works..     http://www.amazon.com/Women-Bible-One-Year-Devotional-Scripture/dp/0310270553/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232023659&sr=1-1
