Hi. I am from Taiwan. I read a chinese version romance book and love it so much. I hope I can buy original English version book, but the book I have did not show its original book title or author. According to the information from a Chinese website ,  the book is written by Jayne Ann Krentz, but I do not think it is correct. I checked Jayne Ann Krentz's book, but cannot find her  books has the same cover with mine. Also, this book was published in 1985 in Taiwan and no way to contact the publisher any more because its business was closed.

The heroine was a translator and hero was a architect. One day heroine met hero in dacing party. That night, they came to hero's house for sex, but heroine finally ran away without saying good bye. Few months later, heroine was surprised that her boss introduced hero as her new colleague.  In the middle of the book, the hero found out the night they met was heroine's ex boyfriend's wedding day. The heroine was too sad and therefore almost bed the hero.  Of course, the ending was good. They ended up together.

The cover of chinese version book is as below.

Based on the storyline and cover, can anyone tell me original English tile of this book? Thank you very much.

Emily, your link doesn't work.  It says the page is not found do you have another site that has the cover?  I have read most of Jayne Ann Krentz books and the premise does not seem familiar to me but I will look at some of her books to see if I am missing anything.

Jayne Ann Krentz also writes under the names Stephanie James, Amanda Quick, and Jayne Castle.

I own every single book Krentz has ever written under any of her pseudonyms (with the exception of the rare ones that are extremely expensive) and there is no book that exactly fits that premise - are you sure you aren't misremembering one of the details? Or maybe it's possible the book was slightly changed for the Chinese market?

Thank you everyone. I have added two links for you to check the cover.

Usually, I can find English titles very easily because most of the translated books for Taiwan market have the same covers with USA books and correct authors(although in chinese) . However, for earlier books, I indeed found few books shown incorrect author names.

Please kindly help me to find the tile of the book.

That sure looks like the Golden Gate.  Almost all of JAK's books are set in the Pacific NW.  Smaller bridges.

My first though was that's the Golden Gate bridge as well.  It's pretty recognizable, even to someone who's never been to San Francisco.

Is it a longer book  (300 pages or more) or a shorter one (less than 200) , Emily?

In addition to Amanda's question is there anything else about the plot that you remember?

Thank you very much Amanda. The book is 212 pages. The publishers usually did not change storyline, but they did often omited some plot for books in 1985. So I cannot guess what the original pages are.

Dear Arica  I just finished reading this book last Sunday, so I remember the story very clearly. I will try to write more after I come back from work tomorrow. Thank you

The couple in the picture look familiar. It might be that the American publisher used the same couple, but a different background on the book. It happens all the time with Harlequin.
