From the book's introduction: Many factors contribute to this lack of involvement, among them a poor self-image, too much involvement in non-church activities, anger/resentment/bitterness regarding past treatment in the church, a failure to understand the requirements of congregational life, rebellion against God, finding no appropriate channel for the expression of spiritual gifts within the local church, failure to discover or have help to discover spiritual gifts, never actually being a Christian.

I say: This book explores all of the above and gives emphasis to visiting the inactive and getting them to serve the Lord. It is a compendium-each chapter being written by a different author.
