This is a story about police misconduct and scandal. When Kate is shot accidently by a fellow officer, she is drawn into what appears to be a shocking conspiracy to prevent the outing of gay and lesbian cops.

Themes of institutionalized homophobia within the LAPD make this mystery timely. As always, Kate Delafield's character is intriguing, well-written and real.

A Kate Delafield mystery- story of the demise of another cop and her own 'accidental' situation. K. Forrest's books are always great!!
