Happy Easter!

I read Fisher's Light by Tara Sivec and Pocketful of Sand by M. Leighton. Both were pretty good. Pocketful of Sand started off really good but fell a little flat for me halfway through.

Happy Easter!

I started Demon Marked, (Guardians 7) by Meljean Brook, and FINALLY, the first book in this series, that I am really getting into.

Also listening to Game of Fear by Robin Perini and the villains are super creepy and scary! Almost too much for me to take!

Just finished Kyland from Mia Sheridan - very good. I really like her writing! Not as good as Archer's Voice, but I knew it would be hard to top that one. Also reading For the Love of Pete by Julia Harper (Elizabeth Hoyt contemporary). It's good and a nice light read. Lacking the depth and heat I've come to expect from Ms.Hoyt though. I have about 30 pages to go, so I don't see that changing, but of course I could be wrong.

Demon Marked got 5 stars. Read the short story, Ascension, 5 stars for that one, too. Will start Guardian Demon today, very long but since I'll be staying near the toilet today, I should get a lot read.

Just discovered Bella Andre and am working my way through her Sullivans series. Very enjoyable. I also finished a biography of Chuck Connors (real name Kevin - go figure).  He was a pretty interesting guy who also played for the Cubs, Dodgers and the Celtics.  Seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

I really liked For the Love of Pete and like her latest comtemp even more. I read Eloisa Jame's 4 Nights with a Duke, Julie Ann Long's It Started with a Scandal and Grace Burrowes The Duke's Disaster and they were all real good reads. We are so close to Lyon and Olivia's story!!! Can't wait.

I was wrong - I had about 60-70 pages left. And she did go out with a "bang". A hot and steamy "bang" too. lol As I said, it was a light read. Funny with interesting characters.

Now I'm reading The Light House by Jason Luke. And Deacon just came available in my virtual library!

I like Eve Langlais books....but OMG Apocalypse Cowboy sucked. Yes I got the updated "with zombies" story. I am a sucker for a good zombie story. This one was not good. This updated version had several editorial errors, idiotic characters, and a New Adultish type vibe. It was all around just the stupidest thing to waste time on.

Left such a bad taste in my mouth, I cancelled my pre-order of her next release.  I don't usually pre-order, anyway.

I loved Deacon, Tonya. One of my favorite alphas of hers. :)

I just finished Breeding Ground by Jaid Black last night, and was pleasantly surprised (although the ending jumped the shark). Now I've picked up a Marsha Canham that has been on my TBR for ages, Under the Desert Moon. So far so good. I love a good western.

I have so many new ebooks I want to read but instead I re-read Lord of Scoundrels. Love, love, love that book!

Now I'm reading Beautiful Broken Rules, borrowed through Amazon Prime.

Finished Karen Rose's Closer Than You Think...ADORED Superhero Deacon's book. The body count was high, but there was strong women that came out of this one. Finished Ward's The Shadows and I am telling you before you go purchase the book, go read the spoilers about it. Ward jumped the shark with this one. I also finished Joanna Wylde's Silver Bastard and I loved Puck's story and can't wait for the next one. Now I am reading Allison Brennan's Notorious and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to read Max's book because I am loving her sarcastic self.

omg. I gotta agree there. I freakin' LOVE JR Ward. Probably one of my very favorite authors, who, in my eyes, usually can do no wrong. I wanted to burn the dang book when I was done. And it seems that the more I think about it the more pissed off I get. angry

Yes Melissa I just finished Kele Moon's The Slayer and they went through so much to get their HEA and KM kept working until she got it right. Loved the book. Just wish Ward would have went the hard route instead of the easy route.

Anne, thanks for the warning!  i kinda wondered about that one.  i'll skip buying it, and *maybe* if the library gets it in 6 months or so i'll give it a try, but then i can give up on it without wasting any $.

I'm doing a reread of all the Anne of Green Gables books.  Aside from as a teen, I've read them whenever I've come across them higgledy-piggledy.  But I just downloaded all of them and am reading them straight through.

I picked up the Entwined Fates series by Trista Ann Michaels in ebook.  Been reading thru those.  Well, I'm still just on the first one, it was not a good weekend for reading.

I read two really good books this past week, Kulti and The Hook up. I think Under Locke is next.

I can't seem to get into anything lately. I start something then lose interest. sigh. hopefully something will grab me soon - at least I haven't bought anything lately that's a dud - ready for Lynsay Sands' new book but think that's still a few months off.

I finished a bunch of Jessica Clare's Games books: Playing GamesIce Games and Bedroom Games. Very fun, all of them.

Now I just started Jude's Law by Lori Foster. I usually enjoy her stuff, but so far Jude has not impressed. :/

I finished Jo Goodman's This Gun for Hire and I loved, loved Quill and Calico as a couple. The weird thing is we didn't even have any smexy times until the last 1/4 of the book, the rest of time was Quill and Calico just getting to know one another. Very good book and I don't know how she could write a book better than that one.

I read ADAM by Eve Langlais and loved that one (5 stars), so I went ahead and got Avion, and will read that today. I think it is the end of the series.

Also I have read these

The Best Victim by Colleen Thompson (audio) tolerable but not that good. I won't read any more by this author.

A Mermaid's Wish by Viola Grace - good

Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant - creepy! And really good.

Hollowland by Amanda Hocking (audio) - didn't really like it.

Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend (audio) - really liked it!

The Flu 2: Healing by Jacqueline Druga - pretty darn good!

The Rake to Rescue her by Julia Justiss - LOVED it

Giving Chase by Lauren Dane (Audio) - pretty good!

The Boy From Reactor 4 by Orest Stelmach - interesting (4 stars) but I won't read any more

Guardian Demon by Meljean Brook - very good, but mainly the last 25%. The book was too long

Allegiance by Susannah Sandlin (audio) - very good but my God, when are the bad guys going to get killed off? How long is she going to drag this out?

The Jakarta Pandemic by Steven Konkoly - really liked it, but the ending was unsatisfying.

King of Stars by Bianca D'arc.....ok......kind of SUCKED. I keep going back and forth about whether I should be done with this author or not. I think she was a better writer years ago. This story, for example, was a lot of "telling" instead of "showing" and the heroine had visions of the future so there was a lot of talk about what could happen, which made the whole thing predictable. Gah! Don't waste your money. (Well for me it was free through Kindle Unlimited).

After SO many rave reviews I finally read Mexican Heat by Laura Baumbach and Josh Lanyon. Wow, I don't know why I waited so long. It was amazing.
