From the back cover:
"Scattered through the streets and homes of Merridale are glowing, transparent blue forms, frozen in their death agonies. They do not speak-and are all the more terrifying for their silence.
Merridale's dead have returned. All hell is about to break loose." A Bram Stoker nominee.

All of a sudden, blue ghosts appear in Merridale, all nude and at the moment of their deaths. How the living citizens of the town cope, all the old secrets, hatreds are the story. Very scary, and I really enjoyed it.

Excellent horror in the tradition of his books.... Dead people suddenly start appearing all over this quiet rural town as figures emitting a strange blue light... They do not talk or react to any stimulus at all but they seem to be there to stay and thye effect it has on the many townspeople leads to true horror!
