I love Anne Perry's books, but this is one of her worst. By page 16 I was thoroughly confused by the large cast of characters and completely disinterested in the outcome of the book.

I liked this book because she incorporated some of the Irish and English hatred into her narrative. She has written better books but this one is still good. I don't agree with the 2 1/2* rating, I would give it a 3 to 3 1/2.

I love books by Anne Perry, and this series about Thomas, a policeman, and Charlotte Pitt, his wife are really great! She creates lots of suspense and just enough light humor to keep me turning the pages one by one!!
