I received one of my wish list books today - my first RWAP - and there's some water damage along the bottom edge of the pages.  I'm going to mark it RWAP, but I'm debating asking for my credit back.  The only reason I'm wondering is because there are 40 more people wishing for this version and 22 people wishing for the hardcover version.  If there were other copies available, I'd probably ask for the credit back, but I'm kind of thinking since there are several people who still want this book (and it's a pretty slow moving line) that maybe I should just offer it as a freebie.  I feel like I'd have a pretty good chance of someone taking it free with an order from my shelf when I'm done with it.  What would you do?

Since it does have water damage and you cannot post it on PBS then yes you should ask for your credit back. Even with giving it as a freebie you are still out one credit.

WL items are no different then any other book, if this was not a WL item would you even think twice about asking for the credit back?  I wouldnt, if I cant repost a book (and its not due to it being on its last read) then I will ask for my credit back pronto.

hi there- i have to say that yes, i would ask for my credit back

i have had to learn the hard way that simply fanning a book is not good enough. i must inspect each one... i have marked several (15+) as rcvd when upon closer inspection they should have been marked rwap- as i will not be able to repost them and they never should have been posted in the first place. several were wl books. i now always ask for my credit back.

btw- what is the book??? i see you are a boxer. i box too. maybe i would like to read it when you are done and we could do a deal!!!

thanks

molly

I would ask for my credit back to.   And really, the fact that it's a wish listed book isn't relevant.  Even if you get your credit back you can offer it as a freebie.    A book that is posted that should not be is just that - wish list or not.

That's what I'll do then.  Thanks for the input!

What's the book? I so want to get some of my WL books, I wouldn't mind getting a damaged one in a deal! :-)
