Its not bad, but not great either.

It is what Warren Ellis describes in his introduction - a summer tent pole of a movie. It does lack the brain he mentions however.

The premise is its the early 21st century and a billionaire has invited a news crew to go along with his expedition to reclaim the moon. They're there for a test run where ecoterrorist sabotage requires an early launch, the death of everyone at the launch site or the destruction of the expedition.

This is where the brains leave...

From there we get a muddied plot that doesn't make a lot of sense and art that isn't really up to the story the artist is trying to tell. The art is more like a bad movie of a lunar colony (Hey! We're walking like we're on Earth!). Worse, the science is crap. From making it to the moon with an early launch with limited fuel, to escape pods and other things.

As cheap popcorn, its not bad. As thought provoking entertainment or social satire, it fails.
