I love this series. This was good, but could have been better. There were some elements of the story that just pushed my believability buttons, even for a paranormal.

Let me say...I usually love Alyssa Day's books but I think she is getting tired of her series and the last few have been a little boring. I read about half of this book and finally had to admit defeat and just skim the rest for "the good parts" and let me say there weren't many. I really can't recommend this book, it really is not very good. Sorry

Really enjoy this series, tho some books in series are better than some of the others. Read like 1/2 of it, then went back after a few other reads and finished it. Definitely like the way author includes and interweaves her characters from the previous novels, keeps series running intact. Definitely recommend this book to all in this genre. Looking forward to her next one in series. All in all I gave it a 4 star.

Atlantean warrior Brennan is cursed by Poseidon for his drinking and debauchery to have no emotions or feelings until he meets his soul mate. And then he will forget her each time she leaves his sight, until her death and then he will remember everything. For 2000 years Brennan has been emotionless and when he finally sees Tiernan, his feelings come rushing back and turn him into a raving lunatic who promptly attacks her and rips her blouse right off. He doesn't go any farther than that but she is scared to death yet easily capitulates and is glued to him from that point forward. It wasn't instant attraction (at least on her part) but there were sparks and a flame was definitely lit.

Tiernan Butler is a reporter who is working on the story of a lifetime: evil scientists are using mind control on the humans and shape-shifters to control the world. Surprisingly enough, it is the vampires who control the scientists. Brennan goes undercover as a reclusive billionaire who wants to donate money to the cause. Both Tiernan and Brennan are appalled at the actions of the scientists and are determined to destroy them and their experiments. This book has it all: werewolves, Atlantean warriors, reporters, vampires, evil scientists and enthralled shape-shifters. A truly great addition to the Warriors of Poseidon series.

Brennan was cursed by Poseidon to feel no emotions due to irresponsibly and drunken debauchery in his youth. He was to feel no emotion until he found his true love and lost her to death. He was also cursed to forget her every time he was away from her even for a short time. Meeting truth-teller Tiernan brings emotions crashing back to him before she dies.
This book was nicely told considering the problems of the curse.

Another excellent read from Alyssa Day. My only complaint? The next one isn't due out until September...

Brennan is a wonderful character always cool, logical, and TOTALLY unemotional due to a 2000 year old curse laid on him by Poseidon. Personally, given the EXTREMELY punitive details of the curse and the even more vindictive requirements for breaking it [the heroine has to die, for heavens sakes!!!:], I doubt if I would have continued to serve Poseidon... In this book, when he is with his soul mate ALL the emotions of the last 2000 years return - at the same time. Talk about a tortured hero.

Tiernan is a reporter and once introduced in the previous book. She's a reporter with a useful talent - she's a human lie detector. [Good for her job but a nasty skill to have in the course of a normal life.:]

Lots of previously met characters have cameos or supporting roles in this one - Daniel, Alexios and Grace, Conlan and Riley, and of course, Alaric and Quinn...

Although the story of Brennan and Tiernan is satisfactorily resolved, there is an ongoing series story arc so be sure and read these in order.
