I just finished All The Numbers by Judy Merrill Larsen, and what a great book!  I read it in 2 days (even though I worked all day yesterday).  It was one of those books that was hard to put down.  I would definitely recommend it.

I just finished Adele Park's Playing Away.  I almost put it aside, because I found the main character completely unsympathetic. But I just kept trucking through.  And sure enough the last quarter of the book made up for it. I was crying - and I never cry at books - at the very end. I think I need to go re-read the ending before somebody requests the book.

I just finished James Patterson's "Jack & Jill" and J. F. Freedman's "Against the Wind."

I'm a long-time fan of Patterson's and I think a brand new fan of Freedman.  This was his first novel (he's been a television screenwriter/director prior) and it may not be for everyone, but his main character, Will Alexander, was incredibly believably real, flaws & all.  Lots of courtroom action (yayy) and some very unsavory defendants.

Anyway lots of plot twists and turns and very well written.  I've already ordered another one of his books.
