I have read all of Adriana Trigiana's books except for Milk Glass Moon, and I am waiting for that one to arrive now!She wrote Big Stone Gap, Big Cherry Holler, Lucia, Lucia, and The Queen of Big Time all of which I loved and read very quickly!!  They are stories of families and their loves, and while they are heartwarming, they are also funny with warm humor.  Trigiana's characters grab your heart and keep it 'til the end of the book! They are not full of trash as some of the newer books are, but you will feel like you really know these people and love them, too! Each one is a warm, cozy read!!!

Love her books!!!!!  I actually grew up not to far from Big Stone Gap, VA.  Yes, it does really exist and Liz Taylor did go to Big Stone Gap one time and really choked on a chicken bone back when she was married to John Warner!!!   :)

I am another of her fans.   Read one of her books, then couldn't WAIT to get the rest of them.  Always such a thrill to find an author I like so much.  Her characters always remind me of someone I might know!  LOL

I'm right there with you in the Adriana Trigiani fan club. I think I've read all of her books and as much as I liked the Stoney Gap series, Lucia, Lucia is my favorite.

I picked up BIG STONE GAP today and fell in love with it by the second page.  I want the recipe for Vernie Crabtree's Killer chocolate chip cookies!  Chewy and crispy at the same time!!  Does anyone have the recipe?

Her writing reminds me of a mix between Fannie Flagg and Jan Karon.  A lot of quirky one-of-a-kind characters.

Are all her books "fun" and a quick read, like BIG STONE GAP?

Her new book will be released in Spring of 2009 and is entitled Very Valentine.  It will be based on her Grandfather and tell the story of a family of shoemakers in Greenwich Village. We will have a new female heroine to adire just like we did with Lucia, Lucia. Check out her web site at adrianatrigiani.com

You can email her and she will definitely respond!  She is a wonderful writer and a warm and funny woman.

Also, The Big Stone Gap books is coming to the big Screen soon.  In may, she told me that they were casting the parts and would go into production over the summer.  Adriana has written the screenplay and I think may wven do some of the directing.  I can't wait to see it!
