What does the auto request  mean in my wish list?  Should it be on of off?

It means if the book is posted to you then it will automatically accept the request instead of putting it inthe 48 hold.  Unless you're out of credits-then it'll go on the 48 hold.

So it should be on?  Otherwise it will go in the 48 hold is that right?  I just joined this morning and am still figuring things out.  2 of the books I posted came back on the 48 hold.

Only you can determine if it should be on - it depends on how many credits you have, and how badly you want the book.  I have a few on AutoRequest on my WL, but not all.

Welcome!

I have all singular titles on auto-request.   If I have more than one version of the same title listed then I put it on 48 hour hold so that I know to go delete the extra versions.

I don't have any on autorequest. I'm here everyday so I  didn't bother.  So its really up to you. It's great if you put your shelf on hold to go on vacation or because you can't afford postage-then if you have credits you can still get WL books if any are posted.

I love autorequest--my whole wishlist is autorequested! I am here pretty much every day, but if I ever had computer problems and can't get on for a couple of days, I'd hate to miss a WL'd book. I generally have between 30-50 credits on hand, sometimes (like now) even more, and I'm sending books all the time too, so I'm not worried about having a run on my wishlist and not having enough credits. Heck, I would LOVE to have that problem! LOL

Sometimes I will check in at the end of the work day if it's slow, and find that a book has been posted, accepted and mailed before I even knew I had ordered it. I love those surprises.

When I'm going on vacation I put books that I'm close to the top of the list on Autorequest.  Also if I really, really want a book, I'll put it on autorequest.  Most of my books are on the 48 hour hold though.  Pat

I don't put all mine on auto-request - because I'm a masochist and greedy - so I always want to look to see if there are any other books I want off that member's shelf.   Someday, I'm going to be a restrained member and save up a lot of credits so I can wait around.  Credits are so much like candy to me - can't eat just one!
