I thought this was one of the better Jude Deveraux books that I've read. I like the social message and historical touches. Being a farm girl myself, I related to the setting. And the romance was very well drawn out.

Read it about 15 years ago... and thought it was the "most enlighting" of books. If I recall correctly, there are some very HOT passages in it.

I really enjoyed this book..this is one of her better novels.
