I got this book after hearing good reviews from a Homeschooling Blogger I really like. Our daughter is five and is already reading a few things on her own. We would read a chapter out of this book each night and the next day before we'd start a new chapter my daughter would tell me what we read the night before. She would recite what happened with no hesitation, and this is how I know she really enjoyed the book. I enjoyed it as well since the chapters weren't to long and a lot of the things in the book is from a time in our history where life was much simpler.

It is about a girl that starts school, her uncle has told her stories about when he went to school and how aweful it was... which scared poor betsy. An uplifting story.
