My daughter (9) picked this out and I ended up reading the entire book in one night. I have never had a book make me cry so much. I felt a huge sense of loss for Heidi. She had such determination. I think the themes in it may be for older kids, maybe teens, or adults although I thought it was marketed for 9-12. Great book.
WONDERFUL, makes you wanna read it again and again and again, big page turner
Although she lives an unconventional lifestyle with her mentally disabled mother and doting neighbor, Heidi seems to have a lucky streak that has a way of pointing her in the right direction. When a mysterious word in her mother's vocabulary begins to haunt her, Heidi's thirst for the truth leads her on a cross-country journey in search of secrets of their past.
